A little bit of (Tea) Embroidery

I revived my interest in embroidery. It turns out I didn't much enjoy cross stitching as much as I like more free-form embroidery. I like controlling the stitch length and style, which happens less on aida cloth or cross stitch fabric. I'm looking for new things to embroider on!
I have been embroidering on tea towels and pillows so far. It has really helped me get through 2019 and 2020 and its... various issues. I typically use 3 strands of DMC cotton embroidery floss for heavier fabrics. I have yet to embroider on 'finer' fabrics. But I also enjoy drawing up the patterns freehand.

If you are familiar with me, I'm a fine artist so I'm pretty used to drawing.

Here's my teacup that I drew freehand on the towel from a compilation of several pictures. I drew directly on the towel with an H Pencil, confident that the pencil would wash away.

I am knitting lace, tatting lace, and doing bobbin and needle lace, and I want to showcase more of it.

I hope you can find crafting peace during this tumultuous time.
